# ANIMAL KINGDOM (30) The Magic Mirror

Once,a jackal was wandering in the forest,

Once,a jackal was wandering in the forest,
He found a magic mirror,near the river-side,
He was very happy,started seeing himself,
Lot of images flashed-game of seek and hide.
He thought-he is brave,powerful,daring king,
Image of the lion flashed in the magic- mirror,
" O! I am the great lion king,what a miracle,
Image is telling truth, nothing fake,no error. "
Next moment,image was no more,he saw again,
This time,a dangerous,sharp creature- he thought,
Poisonous, fatal king kobra was swinging his head,
Frightened, jackal turned the mirror-No,never--not.
Now jackal's imagination was a huge,grand animal,
An animal, who is gentle,but can be furious as well,
Who is wise,sharp,can understand, learn everything,
Can dance with joy:and with anger,create the hell.
This image does not match with my face-he thought,
Drum like belley,piller feet,mini tail, and huge trunk,
Is this moving rock,by any means,handsome like him?
This, so called-elephant-shaking head, like a drunk?
The jackal looked at the mirror,with a new thought,
Hard working,rough, tough,straight,stout creature,
Obedient,carrying load of the earth,without a word,
This donkey-no match to jackal,just peculiar feature.
This time he thought-Who is greatest of all animals?
Who is sharp,shrewd,cunning, clever,smartest figure?
Lightening mind,coward but quick acting cruel hunter,
Can befool all,can deceive;heap of lie-who can trigger?
Who,standing on hill can shout and preach message ?
Who likes the idea that others may hunt,he may eat?
In darkness,who shouts-I am the master of all kingdom,
Who has foolish concept-all creation lies in his feet?
The magic mirror reflected the clear image of jackal,
Jackal jumped,"How can I control myself- how can,"
Mirror slipped,fell on rock,broke in hundred pieces,
Every piece was reflecting the shining image of MAN.
