 ANIMAL KINGDOM (27)  In One Life

She was shocked to see the scene, 
All her dreams scattered in a moment, 
She could not balance herself in air,
And fell down below,on top of a tent.

Thunderous noises were echoing all over,
Machines were digging, leveling the land,
HER tree,her own tree,her home, laid dead,
The female pigeon's vision,lost in the sand.

A piece of fruit,from her beak,fell down,
Her nest,her siblings-nothing,only dust,
Many homeless birds were flying in sky,
Death was chasing,struggle was the must.

Mother pigeon tried to call her children,,
But her futile efforts could only rebound,
Men,machines,and the space filled with-
Deafening and crushing  ocean of sound.

She spread her wings;fluttered,flew in sky,
Looked down,everything,-all,she had lost,
This was not the first tragic event of life,
But was next of  calamities,running so fast.

Storms had destroyed her nest many times,
Snakes had often eaten her eggs in the past,
Rain,flood had washed away, her small nest,
Her life partner had gone for food: was lost.

She flew and flew, in lap of mother nature,
No any choice,but only to exist, to survive,
Only to chase the next breathe,and to Be,
Except her being,nothing left to deprive.

A Supreme Command whispered in her ears,
"You tiny creature-fly,live,in space,all around,
 You have many,many,struggling lives, in one life,
Death is only once, life is limitless,unbound."

ANIMAL KINGDOM (25) Run,run,and run

Run,run,and run
---------------------------

The female deer was just dying,
Due to bleeding from bullet shot,
Holding, kissing her fran in her lap-
-lost her survival battle-she fought.

She peeped into her infant's  eyes,
Image of her dying body emerged,
Last feeding to her child finished,
A sharp, thin,slow cry,  was heard.

She blinked her eyes,all vanished,
Christal clear horizon was there,
She died.Infant left her, stood-up,
She was there: she was nowhere.

The infant was taught since birth-
"Death is chasing you, to kill you,
 Always run fast,as much you can,
Death spreads arm,you be in queue."

He stood-up, and looked all around,
His mother had gone,he to replace,
To play his role on this mortal stage,
No time to mourn,in game of chase.

One, and only one way,
For survival-try and try,
Run,run,run--and run,
Life to win,death to die.

ANIMAL KINGDOM (17) Game Goes On

(The cycle-life and death chase each other,
Life wins-game goes on----)

 Storm,thunder, and fury had gone,
In dark coffin,the forest laid,
Forest,, once was dreamland,heaven,
Where, hurricane had made violent raid.

Fallen trees paid mournful homage,
Angry river had broken it's barrier,
Scattered shadows jumped on water,
Dead silence echoed, created the fear.

Motionless bodies of animals laid,
One-two-vultures flew in the dark,
Frightened beer peeped out of den,
Dog opened mouth,forgot to bark.

An injured doe ran,jumped in vain,
With hard labor,misery;blindfold, 
Here and there,aimless,wandering,
Shivering with pain,terror, and cold..

A moment flash-a thunderbolt in sky,
She saw mad river:nearer she went,
Wounded,horrified,for want of water,
Struggling for life-she was pregnant.

The doe fell in mud-calm,desperate,
Gave birth to a tiny, little fawn,
With all efforts opened her eyes,
Saw the new -born,in light of dawn.

First light revealed to eyes of fawn-
-He saw the smile of the dove, dying,
Death,disaster,all was-meaningless,
New-born saw a single tiny bird, flying.

He tried to stand,fell down in the mud,
Again,he tried,but he could not stand,
Again,and again --slipping in the mud,
He tried to firm his foot on the land.

Little fawn was alone under the sky,
Furious mother-nature was now kind,
Tender sun-light was kissing his eyes,
Bright reel of life,was going to rewind.

Mud-clad fawn had only divine WILL ,
WILL-that spreads arms, for creature,
One is the god- gifted, mental- strength ,
Other arm is the golden path of future.

The fawn will try and try--and try again,
He will stand up on his legs,and will run,
The cycle-life and death chase each other,
life wins,game goes on-it is nature's fun .

                      Animal kingdom (13) The Snake's Interview

Media person was quite alert,
The snake was sitting apart,
He was taking the interview,
Snake was opening his heart.

"---if people see me by chance,
They run away,or forget to walk,
They fear from me,they hate me,
My presence is like electric-shock.

Blind-faith and mystery is my fate,
'Snake and Ladder' game is my life,
Killing snake is curse-people say-
'Revenge is taken by his wife'.

My destiny differ on this earth,
At one place,people worship in haste,
At another,they cut, boil and eat,
A contrast-milk offer,or diet of taste.

My only crime is the fatal poison,
Beware of snake-caution is shown,
Snake is danger-signal for all,
Men prefer earth-worm-without bone

How many snakes have poison?
Without touch, snake-bite,how he can?
How many die of snake-bite?
Compare it with-man killing man.

Men torture and extract my poison,
Medicines are made to save life,
Human poison has only one use-
Making bomb,bullet,sword ,and knife.

Media person stopped the snake,
"Only last question-your personal life.
About your family, about snake-couple,
How you live-your love-life?"

Snake nodded and said with anger,
"No personal question please,
Do not peep into personal affair,
Respect privacy,please don't tease."

But repeated questions annoyed him,
"So you want to know-how we kiss?"
He lifted his head,the man jumped,
There was in air-a sharp 'Hisssss--'

The man ran away,the camera rolled,
Lap-top turned and laid, upside-down,
His orphan hat floated in the mud ,
Man halted,only after entering the town.

Snake said,"These two footed creatures,
Have the habit of peeping inside,
Nudity on our body-in their minds,
They want to expose,all what we hide."
